The Astro Division manufactures customized R&S products and next-up assemblies for a diverse range of airframe, engine, landing gear, and rotor applications. Within MinebeaMitsumi's group of aerospace companies, Astro is a center of excellence for engine, landing gear, and rotorcraft products.
Next-Up Assemblies & Complex Bearings
Mechanical sub-assemblies containing spherical, rod end, sleeve, loader slot, or a combination of bearings.
Self-Lubricating Liner Technologies
Wide-ranging solutions providing reduce wear, improved life, superior corrosion resistance, machineability, and high-temperature performance.
Rod End Bearings
Metal-to-metal and self-lubricating PTFE-lined solutions in bore sizes up to 1.25 inches (31.75mm).
Spherical Bearings
Metal-to-metal and self-lubricating PTFE-lined solutions in bore sizes up to 3.00 inches (76.20mm).
Loader Slot Bearings
Spherical and two-piece rod end bearings in bore sizes up to 1.00 inches (25.40mm).
Sleeve Bearings
Self-lubricating PTFE-lined solutions in bore sizes up to 20.00 inches (508mm).
Bearing Customization and New Product Development
A majority of the solutions Astro manufactures are highly-engineered custom solutions designed to address specific installation and performance requirements. We customize bearings to work outside the standard spectrum of load, temperature, fatigue resistance, and angular misalignment. If you are designing an aero engine, landing gear, rotor assembly, and any other aircraft subsystem, our product engineers can assist you with bearing selection, design, and engineering. For heightened performance challenges, our applications engineering department may involve the New Product Development Center to identify and develop a unique solution.
