March 27, 2015 (Chatsworth, California): With the anticipated retirement of longtime president Gary Yomantas, New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) is pleased to announce the promotion of Dan Lemieux to president of NHBB and head of the NHBB/myonic Business Unit within the Minebea Group of Companies.

Beginning April 1, 2015, Lemieux will be responsible for the performance and strategic direction of NHBB’s three manufacturing divisions in the United States, as well as that of myonic GmbH in Leutkirch, Germany and CEROBEAR GmbH in Herzogenrath, Germany. On July 1, 2015, Lemieux will also take over as president of NMB (USA) Inc., the North American operations of Minebea Co., Ltd., and as Minebea’s general manager of regional affairs for the Americas.

In accordance with NHBB’s formal succession planning process, Lemieux’s promotion establishes a smooth transition of leadership following the retirement announcement of Yomantas, who will officially step down as president of NHBB and head of the NHBB/myonic Business Unit on March 31, 2015. Yomantas will retain the additional positions he holds as president of NMB (USA) Inc. and as Minebea’s general manager of regional affairs for the Americas until July 1, 2015. Afterward, Yomantas will stay on as an advisor for at least another year in order to direct a smooth handoff of responsibilities for NHBB, the NHBB/myonic Business Unit, and NMB (USA) to Lemieux.

Lemieux has served NHBB as vice president of business development and marketing since 2011, leading the activities of strategic planning, business acquisitions, and marketing. In 2014, he was responsible for negotiating and completing the acquisition of CEROBEAR GmbH, a ceramic and hybrid ceramic bearing manufacturer located in Herzogenrath, Germany.

From 2002 to 2011, Lemieux was director of strategic planning and corporate development for NHBB’s parent company, NMB (USA), Inc. As director, he was instrumental in the strategic divestiture of certain Minebea subsidiaries and the acquisition of the bearing manufacturer myonic GmbH and its integration into the NHBB/myonic Business Unit.

Prior to 2002, Lemieux held various executive positions with Power Systems Inc., a US subsidiary of Minebea, including president, vice president of finance and administration, and controller. His career with Minebea began in 1993. Lemieux is a CPA and holds a BS in Accounting from the Central Connecticut State University, graduating with honors.
