New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) has an environmental policy in place that emphasizes pollution prevention, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to reduce environmental impacts.

Objectives include the reduction of waste and significant adverse impacts caused by new products or processes; the reduction and elimination of pollutants into the environment; and the promotion of environmental awareness among employees and the community.

NHBB has a valued commitment to social and environmental responsibility and to civic participation. Our efforts have been recognized by certification to the ISO 14001 standard for environmental management systems and election as an original participant in USEPA’s Performance Track program.

HiTech’s sustainability report

Sustainability ReportThe HiTech Division recently published its first sustainability report, available here as a PDF. The report contains data on over seventy different performance indicators covering such programs as waste management, pollution prevention, employee health and safety, community involvement, capital investment and business growth. HiTech created the document using a reporting framework established by the Facility Reporting Project (FRP). This initiative was launched by one of North America’s largest investor, business and industry coalitions (Ceres).
